Now testing in Toronto & the GTA

Same groceries. Very different prices.

Cartly compares the price of the same product across stores on both Instacart and DoorDash — every price labelled with its store and platform — so you know where to buy before you spend a cent more than you have to.

How it works

One product. Every price. One tap.

No more opening five store apps to check one item. Cartly does the legwork across both delivery platforms and lines the prices up side by side.

01

Search or browse

Find any product — by name, by aisle, or by scanning its barcode in store. Cartly’s catalogue holds over 100,000 products from Toronto & GTA stores.

02

Compare every price

See the same item at every store that carries it, on Instacart and on DoorDash — each price labelled with its store and its platform, never blended together.

03

Buy where it’s cheapest

Tap through to the store and platform with the best price, or build one list and see what the whole basket costs at each store before you check out anywhere.

The Gap — our price-watch series

One chocolate bar. Three prices.

This really happened, in Toronto, in the same week. The same Snickers bar was on sale at one store and full price at another — and unless you checked both, you’d never know.

$2.50 the gap on a single chocolate bar — imagine a whole grocery list.

Prices observed October 18–20, 2026, at Toronto-area stores and published in The Gap, Cartly’s price-watch series. Prices vary by store, platform and day, and may have changed since they were observed. Cartly shows the observation behind every comparison so you can judge for yourself.

Features

Built to answer one question: where is it cheapest?

🏷️

Best Price

The lowest sticker price for the exact product, across every store and both platforms — computed live from current offers, per package size, so sizes are never mixed up.

⚖️

Best Value

Different question, different answer: the best price per unit — per 100 g, per litre, per count. Best Price and Best Value are always shown as the separate things they are.

🔁

Add It Again

Your regulars, one tap away. Cartly remembers what you buy at each store and surfaces it on that store’s page, so restocking takes seconds.

🧾

Purchase history

Every product you’ve checked off your list, kept as cards — with a “Purchased 5 times” badge on the ones you buy again and again.

🧺

Your list, priced everywhere

One shopping list, totalled at every store that carries it. A partial total is always labelled as partial — never dressed up as a full-basket price.

🔎

Labelled, always

Every price on every product page carries its store and its platform — Instacart or DoorDash — because the same store can charge two different prices on the two platforms.

Why every Cartly price names its store and platform

The same store can charge two different prices for the same product on Instacart and on DoorDash. A price without its source is only half the story — so we always show both.

FAQ

Questions, answered straight.

Is Cartly on the App Store?

Not yet. Cartly is currently in testing on Apple TestFlight, and it’s also available on the web at app.cartlyapp.ca. Join the TestFlight to try the iPhone app while we finish preparing the public launch.

Is Cartly free?

Yes. Cartly is free while in testing.

Where do the prices come from?

Cartly collects the prices stores list on Instacart and DoorDash for the Toronto & GTA area and compares like-for-like products — the same product, the same package size — across stores. Every price shown is labelled with the store and platform it came from.

Why do prices change?

Retailers and platforms change prices often, and the same store can price the same product differently on Instacart and on DoorDash. Cartly refreshes its comparisons from current listings, and published price stories always carry the dates the prices were observed.
